LVM

Synthetic marble (Cold Porcelain):

he synthetic marble (Cold Porcelain) is a composition based on specialized polyester resins combined with calcium minerals and additives to form a material that resembles natural stone with a percentage of purity greater than 80%. Our formulations make the synthetic marble (Cold Porcelain) to be considered as a synthetic stone. To create the appearance and surface resistance of synthetic marble (cold Porcelain), Firplak uses advanced polyester based coatings (Gel-Coats) similar to those used in the luxury marine industry, this improves the chemical resistance, UV protection, color, and shine. As a special addition, this material can be repaired in case of superficial scratches.

FV

Fiberglass-reinforced polyester: Fiberglass-reinforced polyester is a material composed of specialized resins integrated with multidirectional glass fibers and additives to create complex, high-strength geometries. Firplak uses advanced polyester-based coatings (Gel-Coats) similar to those used in the luxury marine industry to give the appearance and surface resistance to the fiberglass-reinforced polyester. This special composition improves chemical resistance, UV protection, color and gloss, and can be repaired in case of superficial surface scratches.

RTM

RTM light (rust-free composite): Is obtained by merging the precision of polymer injection systems and the mechanical advantages of glass fibers. RTM light is one of the cleanest and most reliable manufacturing processes in the market of compound materials, it uses high-tech raw materials to obtain optimized parts in thickness and with better mechanical performance than other fiberglass application processes. This process produces fewer emissions to the environment and reduces waste.

In FIRPLAK our production lines have state-of-the-art equipment, as well as dedicated and qualified personnel for the manufacture of products in different materials such as fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) and synthetic marble (Cast Polymer).

We are present in countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Antigua, Dominica, Aruba, Curaçao, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Haiti and Suriname.

The quality and safety of our products relies on more than 44 years of experience using raw materials and equipment from the best international companies in the industry. We continuously submit ourselves to the most rigorous national and international standards, such as IAMPO - UPC, ISO 9001.

Research

Research is an essential factor at Firplak. In collaboration with prestigious universities, we have led research projects on new products and solutions, as well as new production methods and trends. Among the most remarkable is the project of closed mold casting with the help of vacuum or RTM Light; a project that allows us to achieve higher productivity, explore new markets and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Another of our Company's major developments, which is being recognized by national and international institutions, has been the total recovery of our industrial waste from the manufacturing of new products using a very high percentage of this waste as raw material.

Support

    • FIRPLAK has 6,000 square meters dedicated to the manufacture of innovative solutions for bathrooms and kitchens. Whirlpools / Jacuzzis®, bathtubs/tubs, and shower floors are manufactured in the fiberglass production plant (FRP). Our laundry, bathroom, and dishwashing sinks are manufactured in the Cast Polymer or Cold Porcelain plant, as is registered in Colombia.

    • Our casting technology is one of the most modern in the region, which allows us to have the minimum of errors in the processes thanks to North American machinery from Magnum Venus and raw materials from renowned multinationals.

    • For product development we have a molds department, which is one of our great strengths, allowing us to continuously improve, create new designs and new finishes to be at the forefront of the industry, and not be dependent on other companies and mold manufacturers.

R&D

  • More than creating products, we create experiences. We always strive to achieve a good result and satisfy the customer's expectations.
  • We seek that through our products people obtain wellness, health, comfort, and aesthetics. Prior to thinking about how the product is integrated into the home or a specific space, we first think about the user's convenience in terms of use and experience. With these steps, we can develop functional products that are easy to use and enjoy.
  • The development and improvement of our products is focused on ergonomics, controls, raw materials, and aesthetics, always in line with global trends in bathroom and kitchen products.

Environmental Commitment

  • In this process, innovation and research have contributed to the achievement of excellent results, in addition to the cooperation with universities, students, and research groups whose contributions have been of great value.
  • We were able to implement renewable energy processes through the installation of solar panels that help reduce the emission of 41.33 tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to 41 trees, thus generating 65% of solar energy for our facilities.
  • FIRPLAK also has an important social component, which is to provide employment opportunities for people with various disabilities and mothers who are single heads of household.
  • Waste separation is part of our corporate culture, and today we recycle a very high percentage of indirect waste materials such as paper, glass, cardboard and plastic, as well as our packaging materials and the water used for testing whirlpools/jacuzzis.
